Help identify This Wire?

SUZUKI ROCKS

New member
Hello
i Hope someone can help. I am about to undertake the restoration of my 1990 Gti. I will be removing the engine and am looking around at all the connections, wires and cables, taking lots of picture in the hope that i'll know how to put it all back together!

I have come across this wire that is not connected to anything at one end! Its just hanging there! I don't know if it has come lose or was never connected to anything in the first place, which seems unlikely. So can you help? If anybody knows what this is and where it should connect i would be very grateful .

Thank you.

Do you have a loose wire or a loose connector?

Hmm, sorry about the attachments. Clicked attach files. Navigated to photos and double clicked pics i wanted!

If you imagine looking at the engine bay. The distributer is on the RHS of the engine (as you look). There is a thick cable going from distributor to the ignition coil (i think) on the fire wall. The metal bracket directly under the coil on the fire wall has 2 very thin wires attached at the bottom, pointing down. The RHS one seems to go and join the wiring loom but the LHS one is not connected to anything at the other end on my car! Just hanging there! That's the mystery wire. What should it connect to?
Any help much appreciated.
Thank you.

I know on some Swifts (maybe automatics) I believe there is a ground going to the transmission from there. There is a little connector on the top of the neautral reverse housing on top of the transmission.

Was able to see the attachment.
It is like GT4life quoted.
That wire goes to the bracket on top of the transmission. The number 10 in this drawing
