I think this is an external Suzuki block heater element connector, on the firewall side of the engine block. anyone recognize this? there is a loop of tubing running from this connector, bolted to the outside of the engine block. center of photo-rectangular plug. https://i.imgur.com/JonIjui.jpg Thi...

The pad under the hood/bonnet is called a ‘silencer’, which most definitely means something else in America.

It is referred to as a hood blanket in Canada and was typically used as a heat deflector.
