Lifters can be serviced by dis-assembly and cleaning. If there is no excess lash/noise there is no problem with them.

Another drivability issue is cold idle speed. Casper will rev to 2500 rpm on the cold idle valve. The supplement requires that the diagnostic connector be shorted to ground during idle adjustment to clamp(disable) the ISC VSV. I will check if it clamps it open or closed just to understand it better. I’m banking on closed.
