You can do what you want, and yes I have a wideband o2 sensor in my car that needs it. On my Probe GT turbo chip which runs a VAF and has fuel cut in the same way they just changed the code on the stock OBDI chip. What I'm saying is there are still a few guys out there that have the hard ware to fla...

The stock air box is not in place, and there is an aftermarket air filter and adapter that attaches to the VAF. I don't plan on touching the VAF in this car. What I was referring to is the GTi MAF requires a lot more thought to modifying/ building it into a turbo system than the VAF. I know more tha...

I don't know anything about MK1 stuff, but fuel cut sucks. Is the VAF just sending a signal to the ECU when it is open all the way? I remember on my mx6/probe GTs that people would do a VAF hack to trick the ECU in thinking it wasn't open all the way. I don't recommend even with a functional wideban...

I was looking at the stock air box today and was thinking about returning it to stock. I think I'm missing the 90 degree elbow out the right fender. I don't like the small air-inlet with the double 90 degrees. I appreciate the photos you posted since they confirmed how I thought it was installed. I ...

I purchased a 93 Swift with a Chevy Sprint Turbo system completely installed. It was John P's car from Teamswift. Other than a few things this one as far as engine will remain the same. I switched out to all 14" wheels (steelies). This will be my back up commuter. It has AC, and gets better gas mile...

i have had the same issues with many hid / led kits, having to swap pins in the sockets to get the headlamps to work properly with the wiring on these cars. i also do the relay mod while i am in there doing the headlamps. less electrical stress on the small oem wiring..... It is only three wires, a...

I sorted a few loose ends today. My new Race Sport lifetime ballast HID were having issues with the high beams not working with the bi-xenon bulbs. The harness came plugged in the wrong way and a little swapping around of the pins and now they're functioning correctly. I fixed an annoying misting of...

They all peel or rust eventually. Specially if over torqued with an impact gun. I never touch my lug nuts with an impact gun. When I go to any tire place I let them know that if they use an impact gun they will be replacing the lug nuts. I still watch. They anodize the dura aluminum so they resist ...

I know this post is from 2018 but I thought I would add to it. I am running Rays Dura Nut Lug Nuts: (they go perfectly with my Volk Rays wheels; maybe because they were made for them, and I'm also running ARP 12 mm x 1.5 wheel studs which I guarantee will out perform the stock 10 mm Metro studs.) De...

I completed the first few test drives and had her back up and running yesterday. The ball bearing turbo sounds like a small jet engine with the larger air intake. I will have to tweak the idle and the blow off valve a little but she ran pretty sweat! The Tial external wastegate with an 8 lbs spring ...
