The Suzuki MLS is one of the hardiest head gaskets I have ever used. I’m assuming there is a non-MLS one available but I have never looked into it.
had an odd vibe / noise when on the highway....was getting worse....pulled over, thought it was a transmission bearing, it was a loose pass front wheel :-o tightened it back up, and kept on going.... :-D I had a close call like that with the rear axle nut. Working late/ tired and I forgot to torque...
All the exhaust pipes and manifold are welded up and I'm ready to get her back together. I'm making my check list of thing I still need to do before firing her over: Move oil cooler mounts over 1/2" to 5/8" ( essential to fitting the larger 2" turbo out pipe) Install mounts for turbo heat shield Ins...

Even though it is 3" stainless instead of 2 1/2" it is lighter because there is no o2 housing. The narrow band o2 bung just goes on the top of the 1st 90 degree bend ...
The wastegate tube is together except for the final weld back to the 3″ pipe. I’ll post up pictures as soon as I get that finished hopefully today.
I want to get the engine pulled for this one soon. I have half the stuff on hand to rebuild. She is sitting collecting too much dirt.
Closer yet. I’m afraid a some point my 89/90 Ford Probe GT will strand me. I got to push to get this car back on the road. As for my Probe I have never driven a car that ran so well and leaked/burned so much.
