I just fitted a Citroen Berlingo ‘5 lamp’ brake light. Replaced the bulbs with W5W LED White.

Simple to cut off ‘factory lamp box’ and screw the lamp onto the base….

The light bleeding onto the glass would be distracting. I would flip it 180 degrees and seal it to the glass.
