I bought this quaint old wet OPG on Ebay @£3
It doesn’t have illumination and the white paint was flaking off the pointer…. Now bright yellow!
I am reconfiguring the gauge mech into a 50mm housing (actually a FlowPlast gutter joint @£1.50) with a new crystal lens & LED backlighting
You see (through..) here the pod, mocked up on my screen pillar, for the Line of Sight.
Much has been printed about copper vs nylon feed piping…. I had a length of nylon HP on barbed ends replace one of my diesel injector steel pipes for a year = I’m going nylon from a performance retailer.
So I can keep Oil light + Gauge I’m fitting a brass ‘T’ >>> remote on a high pressure flexipipe to avoid ‘vibration fatigue failure’
I will post photos when it is all installed.
